Excuse me, but my life is waiting.

and some news…

I like her birthday parties. Makes me wonder if I’ll have the good fortune (or not, depending on how you look at it) of having such a big bunch of boisterous friends to throw one for me in a couple of years.

And in other news, I just realized someone i know has just become a proud father of 1! And there i was, wondering what was the rush to get married suddenly when less than 9 months down the road, all is revealed. Strangest thing is, his wife looks 80% like his ex-gf (that he ditched btw). Now, why would someone go and do that?

And finally, I’m just so about had it with those who think they are doing me this big favour when they buy a policy from me.

So to “You”, “You” and “You”…

Hellooooo….i’m not the one who’s going to profit from the 500k payout when something happens to you, it’s your family and loved ones you are doing this for. I don’t get a cut from your retirement nestegg, it’s your choice whether you want salted fish porridge for breakfast, lunch and dinner or chichi tea & dim sum in 25 years. And honestly, I earn peanuts from car insurance and hospital plans. If you don’t want it, leave it; your life-long debt of a couple hundred grand to the hospital isn’t going to change my lifestyle one inch.

Don’t get me wrong, I still think  the advisory business is still greatly rewarding and deeply satisfying..but some of the people I meet, I tell you….*kicks wall*…..makes me want to wish bad things to happen to them just so i can wipe that smug look off their face.

I do I do

It’s been a long time since i last posted here..and an even longer time since i read a blogpost that touched and inspired me.

Here’s one. I hope wan’er won’t mind….but it was so beautiful i couldn’t resist. Why, it could be adapted to become a self-penned wedding vow!

I can’t believe I’m saying this but their’s is a wedding i can’t wait to attend…which is an exception really. Because i think weddings are inexorably boring (because 50% of the time u spend wait, 30% of the time staring at the faux pas of fashionista-wannabes, 10% of the time eating and the balance making idle chit chat with your just-as-bored neighbour) and also as a general rule, I don’t like handing money out…even if it’s enclosed in a red packet.

Come to think of it, there are only a handful of people that i would be genuinely happy (as in jump for joy, bounce around the room and talk-very-very-fast kind of happy) to receive their wedding invitation from.

Just yesterday I received this surreal sms from an unknown number. It went like this:

Hi Audrey. Can you do me a favour? Can u be my witness this coming Monday afternoon at ROM? Maybe u can get to know my hubby too…

I was busy the entire day so I only replied the next day. I didn’t know who the sender was and neither did she reply me sms after.

Oh well…..
