Excuse me, but my life is waiting.

MSF and Zouk

Just came back from Desaru from the MSF and it was a nice experience. I guess when you don’t know most of the people at an event, you have no choice but to ask people you don’t know to dance. So I danced with a fair number of Australians this time round..given that there were over 100 of them attending the MSF.

It’s interesting to note how different ppl from different countries dance. Perhaps this is a generalization, but i think Singaporeans dance very conservatively!!! Not enough hip gyrations, body rolls and sexy moves!!!! It was really refreshing to see the creativity at the MSF.

Blah blah blah…

So, I fell flat on my face in public today.

I tripped over my pants leg and went flying forward. Before I knew it, I was sprawled on the floor…both hands forward and overhead. Freaking embarrassing and damn, damn, damn pain!! Luckily, nobody was around to see me attempt to be Supergirl. :p

I think the last time I committed such a faux pas was when I was 18 and went flying down the overhead bridge. Fortunately, no stretcher and ambulance for me this time.

OMG. My life is so boring. I have nothing else interesting to write about…no juicy gossip, no new watering hole, no scandalous activity. All I can write about is how I fell down today. :(

Sigh. I need something to stimulate my mind. I feel that I’m becoming increasingly stupid. Must be all the eating and sleeping that I’m doing…urgh!!!

Malaysian Salsa Festival

Whaddya know?!! I will be going to Desaru this coming weekend afterall!

I am really excited. This will be my first overseas salsa fest..I wonder what it will be like!!

I think the SG organizers should take a cue from the folks across the Causeway..the tickets are completely sold out. To think that there was talk tt there wouldn’t be a similar event in SG this 2008 due to poor ticket sales. How embarrassing, really.

Many, many, many thanks for a very, very special someone who’s given me the Saturday party pass. I can’t wait to utilize it! Haha!

So I received an email today…and the result of which is that I WANNA OWN A KENDRA BINNEY ORIGINAL!!!!

Aiyah, aiyah, aiyah!!! I haven’t even hung all the prints I bought last year (the need to bang nails into my room wall isn’t very appealing)…but i’m just dying to lay my hands on an original.

I can just imagine it hanging on the wall of my future house already, where visitors will say “OMG, that painting is so depressing!” and then I’ll say “Depressing meh? I like it!” hahahaha.

Obsessing about Kendra’s work makes me a little crazy. I apologise.

My so-called Tai Tai life

I really shouldn’t be complaining…but I’m bored!! Sleeping till late and not working can be damn boring. There’s only so many lunches and dinners I can do before I get officially tired of slacking.

I know, I should enjoy this period though…but it’s hard when there isn’t a steady stream of income and I’m limited by my choices of what I can and should do. Need to conserve resources ma…

Can’t wait to finish my exams so I can start work soon. 3 more weeks to go!! I think I will be bored out of my skull by then!!

If this is a prelude to my tai-tai life, then I can’t say that I like it very much.

So I came across this entry this evening (which btw i hope smudgi3 doesn’t mind me quoting) and was just thinking to myself that it’s so true.

Can’t remember who was it that it (think it’s the men from mars women from venus “miracle” couple) but couples with more similarities tend to have higher chances of working out than couples who are distinctly different. Then someone else, in a recent conversation, also said that it’s not really about being similar or different but the degree that 2 people are willing to change and compromise.

All along, I have subscribed to the view that the more similar 2 people are, the better – less things to disagree about, less to argue about, less to change. More activities to share..more collective memories. But then again, my last relationship proved to me that this isn’t true.

But still, how much can we change before we stop being ourselves? And if we exchanged ourselves in return for a future together with another person, would it be worth it?

The older I get, the more complicated my relationships become. The more people I meet, the less I want to know.

Time. What I need is just more time.

My first tattoo

So, I’ve finally got my tattoo down. At whim, nonetheless.

Was just talking about tattoos to Daniel in Sabah when he said he was keen to get one too. So I said that we should go to the shop together when we get back to SG to get our tattoos done. Before I knew it, we had hooked pinkies to visit the tattoo parlour on the same day we get back to SG.

The plan was to go home, dump our bags, take a shower and head out to Far East.

We followed the plan!! So, it’s done. And caught on video. See below.

Kota Kinabalu Part II

Been lazy..sorry for the slow update. A 10 day trip is not easy to document…I kinda lost the enthusiasm to write it all down somewhere along the way. :P

So anyway, for the sake of posterity…other than climb the mountain, I spent a fair bit of time wandering around Kota Kinabalu…basically I pretty much walked the entire bloody town. I’m quite proud to say that we walked everywhere..I think we must have covered each street at least 2 times over. Haha.

Some of the highlights of the trip? Read on…
