Again i would like to annouce – Tokyo is my new favourite city in the world.

Anyway, we managed to squeeze some shopping time in on my last day. Steve very kindly offered to take us shopping and be our translator. He is a New Yorker who can speak fluent japanese and who is my CTO and director btw.

So, Steve, Veron and I met up with my friend Naoya and went to Harajuku and Omonte-santo hills.
Check out my pic from my short stint in Tokyo after the jump.

Tokyo is beautiful. Artificially beautiful. But I love it.

The people are immaculately dressed – perfect hair, perfect accessories, trench coat, funky scarves and wayyyyyy cool boots. The color de rigeur is black. I would go so far as to say that 90% of the people wear black here. Seems like the primary colors in a Japanese person’s wardrobe is black, white or grey.

2 tender spots

Yo all!

Just thought I’d write some shit here so you all know that I am not dead.

But first, let me start with off with a question…should one be happy or sad if one found out that one’s colleague who is younger and less well educated is earning the same or more pay than oneself?

~~~
Went cycling today with Serene. Abit nutty since it’s been years since I last got on a bike. I don’t own a bike but Serene’s sis who is a fitness freak (she, and yes, SHE can do pullups!!!!) has 2. Anyway, beggers can’t be choosers and the bike I got ended up to be like 16cm too high for me since Serene and her sis are both very tall people.
Don’t ask me how I managed it, but we managed to get ourselves to Sembawang Park. It took us nearly an hour to get there. It was good fun though…I screamed everytime a bus or a lorry drove next to us (we cycled on the road) because I kept thinking i was going to be rolled over, panted like dogs on all the upslopes and ended up all sweaty and dusty.
Wandered around the park for about 20mins before deciding to make our way home when one of our bikes decided to die on us. Yep. The freaking chain came off the wheel.
So there we were – 2 girls squatted on a deserted sidelane trying to poke/push/pull the chain back into its place while being fed alive by mozzies. And what can I say but that there is nothing you can’t do when you put your mind to it.
We fixed the damn chain and cycled all the way back. Make that cycled very fast. We didn’t have the reflective stickers on our bikes and feared that we would really get mowed over.
Suffice to say, I have 2 very tender spots on my butt right now.
